Salesian Missions Australia supports local Salesian partners across some of the world’s most vulnerable communities, helping young people and families access education, skills training, healthcare, humanitarian assistance, and sustainable development opportunities. Working in partnership with local leaders, we create lasting change that empowers communities and supports a brighter future.
Education
Education is at the heart of everything we do. Don Bosco schools, vocational centres, and training programs provide young people with the knowledge and practical skills needed to secure meaningful employment and build independent futures. By investing in quality education and vocational training, we help break cycles of poverty and create opportunities for long-term social and economic development.
Development and
Community Support
Our development projects strengthen communities through sustainable, locally led initiatives. We support schools, agricultural colleges, water projects, orphanages, family assistance programs, and community centres that respond to local needs. Because our Salesian partners live and work within their communities, projects are designed with a deep understanding of local challenges and opportunities, ensuring lasting impact.
Relief & Healthcare
We support vulnerable communities through healthcare services, medical outreach, nutrition programs, school meal initiatives, and access to essential supplies. Working with local Salesian partners, we help improve health and wellbeing while providing practical support to children, families, and communities facing hardship.
Emergency Assistance
Salesian Missions Australia responds to humanitarian crises caused by natural disasters, conflict, and displacement. Our partners provide emergency relief, food assistance, temporary shelter, essential supplies, and recovery support to help affected communities rebuild and recover when disaster strikes.
